The Power Supply

I want to keep the power supply as close to the original as possible by using the same transformers but it needs to have a case and fuse so it is safe to use and display.  For this, I started with a acrylic Logisys ATX power supply and stripped it of all it’s components.  I will keep the built in EMI circuitry and replace the voltage switch with a fuse.  The transformers will be mounted inside the case on a fiberboard that is identical to the size of the original ATX PCB.

Parts are arriving!

I’ve received my Mimeo 1 PCB, Apple Cassette Interface, RS232 & PS/2 to ASCII adapter, and PROMs from Mike Willegal

The other components are shipping from Unicorn Electronics within 5-7 days

Some parts I am still looking for to make an authentic early replica… These would be nice to have but are not required for my build:

  • White Ceramic Mostek or Synertek 6502 w/o grounding strap and a 1976 date code
  • White Ceramic 6820 (PIA)
  • Apple II+ keyboard for a Datanetics replica build
  • Wendell Sander’s Apple I Keyboard Encoder
  • Vintage LM323K with gold base
